Hot Dogs & Sauerkraut

A Superbowl Sunday family tradition, thirty-plus years!


  • 3 cups sauerkraut
  • 1 bottle beer
  • 8 all-beef hot dogs
  • 8 grilled hot dog buns
  • Mustard

(Chopped onion, tomato, celery seed, sliced jalapeno peppers)


  1. Simmer sauerkraut, beer and hot dogs in large skillet over medium heat about 10 minutes, until dogs plump.
  2. Top each bun with hot dog and sauerkraut.
  3. Serve with mustard and your choice of toppings.
